Manuel y Ramallo tienen 10 años cuando la Guerra Civil llega a Mallorca y son testigos del fusilamiento del padre de uno de sus amigos. Diez años después, enfermos de tuberculosis, se encuentran en el sanatorio de Caubet, Mallorca, y reanudan su amistad, aunque la forma de afrontar la enfermedad de ambos los separa. Para Ramallo es solo una piedra más en el camino, mientras para Manuel, la muerte se acerca por lo que vive encerrado en la religión. Su fe entrará en crisis cuando descubra que lo que siente por Ramallo es más que amistad.

Manuel and Ramallo were 10 years old when the Civil War hit Mallorca and they were witnesses to the execution of a friend’s father. Ten years later, ill with tuberculosis, they find themselves in the Caubet hospital in Mallorca, and they renew their friendship, even though the way the face up to their illness separates them. To Ramallo, it is only one more stone in the road, whereas to Manuel, death is getting closer, so he lives locked up in his religion.
