OPENING CEREMONY
Monday, 6th February; 8.00 p.m. - Arriaga

Jon Koldo Vázquez (Goenkale, EiTB) will be presenting the Zinegoak 2012 Opening Ceremony, which, once again, will take place in the Arriaga Theater.  But, he will not be alone; Eduardo (Yogurina Borova), Oscar (Nagore Gore) and Jaime (Caprichosi-Si) will be there also to make us laugh.

During the course of the ceremony, the Zinegoak 2012 Honour Award will be presented to Agustí Villaronga, who recently was given the National Award of Cinematography and whose latest movie, “Pa Negre” has been Spain’s candidate to the Oscar in the Foreign Language Film category.  His personal cinema and his narrative usage of homosexuality in a non-conventional manner have been the great reasons behind this award.

The ceremony will end with the showing of the film “Circumstance”, directed by Iranian Maryam Keshavarz, winner of the Audience Award in the last edition of the Sundance Film Festival, and the Special Jury Price in the Valladolid Seminci.

CLOSING CEREMONY
Saturday, 11th February, 8.00 p.m., Bizkaia Aretoa

Jon Koldo Vazquez will be, once again, presenting this ceremony with the sponsorship of Euskaltel.  Ceremony that will be celebrated in the Mitxelena Auditorium situated in the Bizkaia Airetoa (the new main hall of the UPV/EHU -Basque Country University-), Av Abandoibarra, 3.

After the Zinegoak 2012 Award ceremony, we will enjoy the flamenco show, “De hombre a hombre”, directed by Antonio Naharro (co-director of “Yo También”, film that won two silver shells in the San Sebastián Film Festival, and two Goyas).  This show has achieved to capture with no shrillness whatsoever a main theme (homosexuality) that up until now was taboo in the flamenco world.

At the end of the ceremony we will be able to enjoy a drink in the Auditorium hall with all the artists, award-winners and the rest of the guests of the Festival.
