En todo cuento de princesas tiene que haber una rana que al ser besada se convierta en…, y aquí es cuando cambia la tradición. Llega un día en que la Princesa Ana tiene que seguir la tradición, tiene que casarse para poder reinar en su país. Sólo hay un problema: ella no quiere casarse con ninguno de los príncipes que han venido a pedir su mano. Ella sólo quiere seguir siendo feliz junto a su mejor amiga, una dulce ranita. Cuando la rana le sugiere que la bese para probar suerte, sorprendentemente, en lugar de un príncipe azul, aparece una hermosa joven. A partir de ahí, tendrán que luchar y demostrar que pueden reinar y hacer felices a su pueblo igualmente, gracias al amor que las une.

Printzesen ipuin guztietan dago muxukatzean eraldatzen den igel bat, baina oraingoan tradizioa aldatzeko momentua iritsi da. Ana izeneko printzesak tradizioari so bere herrialdean erreinatu ahal izateko ezkondu egin beharko du. Dena den, arazo batekin egingo du topo: berekin ezkontzeko eskatu dioten printzeetatik bat bera ere ez du atsegin. Anak oso argi dauka zoriontsu izaten jarraitu nahi duela bere lagun hoberena den igeltxoarekin. Igelak muxukatzeko eskatzen dionean, harrigarria bada ere, printze urdin bat agertu beharrean emakume gazte eder bat agertuko da. Hortik aurrera, bere erreinuan agindu dezaketela erakusteko borrokatu beharko dira, elkarrekiko sentitzen duten maitasunari esker euren herria zoriontsu egin dezaketela frogatu beharko dute.


In every fairytale there has to be a frog, that after being kissed turns into a…, and here’s where tradition changes. A day comes when Princess Ana has to follow tradition and marry to be Queen to her country. There is only one problem: she does not want to marry any of the Princess that have come to ask her hand in marriage. She only wants to keep being happy with her best friend, a sweet little frog. When the frog suggests that Ana should kiss her to try her luck, surprisingly, instead of a Prince Charming, a beautiful young woman appears. From then on, they have to fight and demonstrate that they can rule and make her people happy, thanks to the love that unites them.

Las letras y los diferentes palos del cante flamenco se ponen al servicio de una historia dramática cargada de fuerza y pasión contemplada desde un punto de vista nunca explorado hasta ahora. El carácter tradicional y a menudo machista del flamenco, a pesar de su constante evolución, había evitado abordar hasta el momento un enfoque abiertamente homosexual en sus contenidos, pese a que muchas de sus letras habían sido compuestas originalmente con esta orientación. Detrás de “Hombre a Hombre” hay una rigurosa investigación de los textos del flamenco más antiguo en su estado puro, de manera que las canciones que conforman esta pieza no han tenido que ser modificadas sino simplemente hilvanadas para contar el relato. Por encima de todo es un espectáculo de flamenco en bruto, en su inagotable riqueza, que en manos de las nuevas generaciones nos lleva a campos inexplorados, con una fuerza para emocionar y un poder creativo que nos sorprenderán más allá de cualquier enfoque.

Flamenco-aren izaera tradizional eta matxistak, nahiz eta etengabeko eboluzioan egon, orain arte ekidin egiten zuen ikuspegi homosexual batetik edukiak lantzea bere letra asko zentzu honetan sortuak izan arren. “Hombre a Hombre” lanaren atzetik testu flamenco zaharrenen ikerkuntza zehatza dago eta horri esker, ez da aldaketarik egiteko beharrik egon, istorioa kontatzeko bata bestearen atzetik ondo lotzen jakitea baizik. Edozeren gainetik flamenco-rik gordinena ikusteko aukera eskaintzen digu ikuskizun honek, bere aberastasun amaigabearekin, hunkitzeko indarrarekin eta beste edozein ikuspegik baino gehiago harrituko gaituen bere sormen gaitasunarekin.

The lyrics and different notes of flamenco singing illustrate a dramatic story, loaded with strength and passion contemplated from a never before explored point of view. The traditional and, often, sexist nature of flamenco, despite its constant evolution, had prevented using the homosexual focus in its contents up until now, even though many of the lyrics in flamenco were originally written with this orientation in mind. Behind of “Hombre a Hombre” there is a rigorous investigation of the most ancient flamenco texts in their purest state, so that the songs that make this piece did not have to be modified but simply put together to tell a story. Above all things this is a crude flamenco show, with a never ending richness, that in the hands of the new generations take us to unexplored fields, with the strength to move us and the creative power to surprise us beyond any focus.
